STROKE FATAL TO WALTZ CRUMLEY
RICHLAND TOWNSHIP FARMER DIES AT HIS HOME NEAR MELLOTT

Mellott, Oct. 25 - Waltz Crumley, 65, prominent Richland township farmer and blacksmith, died at his home here Tuesday morning at 1 o'clock.

Mr. Crumley was taken suddenly ill last Thursday while shoeing a horse in his blacksmith shop. He went home at once and after lying down lost consciousness. he did not rally until death came. The immediate cause of death was said to be paralysis.

The deceased was born July 18, 1867, the son of Henry and Julia Bennett Crumley. he was married to Miss Della Drollinger on Oct 7, 1892. he was a member of the Christian Congregational church and of the Red Men's lodge.

The survivors include the widow, on son, Clinton, of near Mellott; a daughter, Miss Leah Crumley, a teacher in the Milford, Ill., shcools, and a brother, Ralph Crumley, of near Hillsboro.

The funeral services will be held at the North Christian church in Mellott Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. J.E. Fry.

Mrs. Crumley Is Dead At 90
Spent All Married Life Near Mellott

Mellott - Mrs. Della Crumley, 90-year-old former Mellott resident died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Happy Siesta Rest Home in Sheldon.

Born May 22, 1869, near Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Reuben and Pamala Hershberger Drollinger. She married Waltz Crumley near Mellott on Oct. 6, 1892, and lived all of her married life on a farm near Mellott, moving to this community after the death of her husband.

A member of the Mellott Congregational Christian Church, she moved to Sheldon in 1958 to live with her daughter, Mrs. Chester Payton. Mrs. Crumley lived at the rest home about two months preceeding her death.

She is survived by her daughter, one son Clinton of Lafayette, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Richard Wilson of Sheldon at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Burial will be at Campbell Chapel Cemetery near Hillsboro.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.
