Not much is known about Robert R. Campbell s/o Obadiah. He was born 30 Jul 1775 in New Jersey1. He left the family home in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania and by 3 Nov 1819 resided in Colerain twp, Hamilton County, Ohio2. At that time his wife's name was Rachel.  The Federal Census in 1820 listed both Robert and John Campbell as residing in Colerain twp3.

On 7 May 1824 Robert R., John and Albert Campbell were all residing in Ohio and gave a power of attorney to their brother-in-law George Ely to sell land in Shamokin twp., Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. Four years later Robert R. and John Campbell, of Knox County, Ohio, granted the power of attorney to Obadiah Campbell to sue the administrator of the George Ely estate for their money4.  Robert Campbell was not found in the 1830 census in Ohio. No more information is known about his line.

1. List prepared by Elinor Campbell Brady, "List of Events for Obadiah Campbell Family" supplied by Northumberland County Historical Society, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. This document listed a power of attorney granting James Campbell the right to sell Rachel's part of 223 acre plantation in Augusta twp. and send proceeds to Robert R. Campbell and wife Rachel in Colerain twp., Hamilton Co., Ohio. This appears to be related to the settlement of an estate where Rachel was an heir. This could lead to the discovery of her maiden name.
