JAMES AND MATILDA (JUSTUS/JUSTICE/JUSTIS) CAMPBELL
and their Family

James Campbell was bon 25 Mar 1836, the son of John and Malinda (Frazier) Campbell1. On 13 Jan 1859 he married matilda Justus/Justice/Justis in Fountain Co, Indiana2. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Justis3. They had two children: John J. Campbell and Sarah "Olive" Campbell. James died before 1869.

On 7 Jan 1869 Matilda married 2nd Lawson Booe in Fountain County4. This was also the 2nd marriage for Lawson. Lawson and Matilda had a daughter, Ellora (also known as L'Ora and Ora). Lawson Booe died 9 Sep 1915 at his home in Veedersburg. Matilda followed in death on 29 Nov 1923. Both Lawson and Matilda were buried at Rockfield Cemetery. There are no individual markers but a large Booe-O'Rear monument is present.
