30 Nov 1791 - David Millinger, Farrier, advertised that he had "discovered there is a distemper prevalent among horses at present called yellow water, which proves very dangerous and thinks himself capable of curing same. For particulars enquire of Peter Ickes, Abbot's Town, Federick Wolf, Henry Basley, Charles Good or the subscriber near Abbott's Town". On 4 Apr 1792, it was noted that David Millinger informs persons indebted to him to settle. He is noted for curing the ringbone, spavine and yellow-water and other disorders to horses. [Reamy, Martha, Family Line Pub., Westminster, Md. "Abstracts South Central PA Newspapers 1791-1795, pg 45]

In 1795 during the York County, September Court sessions, David Mellinger was indicted for blasphemy. He was bound for 100 pounds with Peter Ickes bound 50 pounds on condition that the said David answer at the next session. In the December session, David forfeited his bond, and Peter Ickes bond remained on conditon that David appear at the next session to answer.
